Supplier of Personal Protective Equipment including Medical Bags, Fire Service Equipment and Emergency Grab Bags around the UK

For nearly 30 years Speedings Limited have been manufacturing Fire Service Equipment including Personal Protective Equipment which has been used by all the UK Fire and Rescue Service. However over the last 10 years we have produced various Emergency Grab Bags which have been used by the Ambulance Service as well as the Fire and Rescue Service. This experience has culminated in Speedings been able to manufacture a range of medical bags that are among the best response bags in the UK. Our ‘AntiBacBag’ meets nearly all the requirements the Ambulance Service has from a Medical Bag, including being antibacterial and easily wiped clean.

Hundreds of pounds-worth of safety equipment has been donated to the lifesaving Emergency Medical Retrieval Service and was presented by Paul Storrie from Strathclyde Fire & Rescue Service.
Sunderland-based Speedings Ltd provides the UK with safety equipment, and the family-run business has given Emergency Medical Retrieval Service Sharp End protection sets.

The equipment stops airbags from activating when air ambulance crews first arrive on scene at a road traffic accident. The air bags can potentially be fatal.

Speedings has also given Kevlar blankets, used to protect paramedics from debris at collisions.

Gary Wilson, head of technical sales at Speedings, said: "The service is a charitable organisation and a worthwhile cause.

"Rather than hand out money, we decided to donate the packs which we know will make their jobs safer.

"It is a delight to give something back to the community."
