Eagle-eyed customers have spotted us in the local papers recently.  This was due to a donation we made to the Great North Air Ambulance Service.  Here is the story from the Sunderland Echo...
Thousands of pounds-worth of safety equipment has been donated to the lifesaving Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS).
Sunderland-based Speedings Ltd provides the UK with safety equipment, and the family-run business has given GNAAS three Sharp End protection bags, worth £500 each.

The equipment stops airbags from activating when air ambulance crews first arrive on scene at a road traffic accident. The air bags can potentially be fatal.

Speedings has also given Kevlar blankets, used to protect paramedics from debris at collisions.

Gary Wilson, head of technical sales at Speedings, said: "The service is a charitable organisation and a worthwhile cause.

"Rather than hand out money, we decided to donate the packs which we know will make their jobs safer.

"It is a delight to give something back to the community."

Sarah Booth, of GNAAS, added: "We are really pleased and grateful with Speedings' contribution.

"Safety is paramount and these packs will help to protect our personnel who risk their lives to save others."

A collection of stock footage has been uploaded onto youtube showing the RTC Airbag tests on a VW Golf, a Ford Fiesta and an Escort.

A recent addition to our product range is the Bariatric Rescue Kit, developed alongside Gary Wilson. Due to the increasing demand for the Fire Service to assist the Ambulance Service in transporting Bariatric patients, the need for equipment to aid in this procedure soon became apparent.

Speedings Limited has recently won a tender to supply over 300 Incident Command Surcoat sets to Clare County Fire & Rescue against stiff competition.
