MATERIALS USED IN MANUFACTURE METHOD OF MANUFACTURE SIZE OF NATIONAL FLAGS

100% Knitted Polyester Bunting or 100% Woven Polyester Bunting

Most flags, depending on size and quantity required would be either appliquéd (individually sewn) or dye printed. All flags will be supplied roped and toggled ready for flying (if requested "quick release" Inglefleld clips can be supplied as an alternative to a toggle to meet customers individual requirements.)

National Flags National flags can be supplied to any size, however each country, usually in the ratio of 2:1 or 3:2, lays down the proportions of a flag. When flags of different nations are flown together it is usual for them to be made in the proportions of the host country's flag. However, it should be stressed that there are no standard sizes for national flags.

FLAG PROTOCOL BUNTING STREAMERS FLAG POLES

Where there are two or more flagpoles next to one another, the home national flag, should be flown from the flagpole on the left when facing a building. In the event of one flagpole being taller than the others, the home national flag should be flown from the tallest. Subject to the above, we suggest all other national flags should be placed from the left in alphabetical order. Flying the flag at "half-mast" is achieved by lowering the flag the distance of its hoist measurement from the top of the flagpole.

Manufactured in house, we hold stocks of bunting streamers in 6 meter lengths of either multi - coloured pennants sewn into a hanging tape, or alternate pennants coloured red, white and blue.

We are able to manufacture customized bunting streamers in any required length to meet individual customers requirements.

To complement Speedings flag making department, we are able to supply freestanding flagpoles and wall mounted flagpoles fitted onto the side of a building. Flagpoles are either manufactured in aluminium or fibreglass for ease of maintenance and also, because of their weight, ease of erection. We appreciate that no two installations are the same and we would be pleased to submit quotations for individual requirements. Our expert staff, if required can carry out erection and maintenance.

TABLE FLAGS. PINS & BASES CARE OF FLAGS

We are able to offer miniature national flags from stock for most countries in the world. The size of each flag is 6" x 3" and can be supplied with metal pins and wooden bases if required. Most national flags can also be supplied 9" x 4.5".

Company House table flags printed with corporate logos and company names are also available and have proved to be most popular for displaying at conferences and also as ideal gifts.

Flag CareIt is correct to fly a flag from sunrise to sunset, or for shorter periods if preferred. By flying the flag within these periods the life of the flag is prolonged.

In order to maintain the appearance of a flag, it is advisable to dry clean regularly. Natural elements as well as dirt can destroy or damage a flag and it is advisable to fly a special 'storm' flag in adverse conditions, which is smaller than usual dimensions and can come to less harm in strong winds.

If a strip of nylon (anti-fray netting) is sewn to the fly, this can prolong the life of the flag especially in exposed locations. It means that the net takes the 'whip', when the flag is flying and goes a long way to prevent fraying.

Three flags can be useful, to ensure one is flying, one is being cleaned, and one is held in reserve for emergencies.
